Cheryl Biggs
Oils, Watercolor, and Acrylics
I am a self taught realist painter and native Californian now living in Florence, Arizona. Though I started painting years ago, I could not then pursue that career. I have gone through several careers in my life, VP of a financial firm in California, author of 30 romantic suspense novels published through various New York publishing firms, owner of a placement agency, and wife and mother.
A few years ago I reacquainted with an old friend in California who is a very talented painter, and he encouraged me to return to the art world. Taking his encouragement to heart, I began to paint again.
My subject style is a reflection of my Italian ancestry, i.e. Venice, gondolas, and Tuscan landscapes, and a lifelong love of western movies, cowboys, cowgirls, horses, rodeos and virtually anything western.
A meeting of vibrant colors and somewhat intense shadows are the spirit of my subjects.
I am presently being represented by the Huachuaca Art Gallery, am a member of American Women Artists, Oil Painters of America, and the Sonoran Art League. I am also the contributing artist to the Hold Your Horses Equine Rescue Foundation annual fundraising events.
My website Url is Cherylbiggsart.com, and I am on Instagram as Cheryl’s Art.
